Seattle Stair Climb

About the Event:

On Sunday, March 2, 2008 more than 1,300 firefighters from 200 departments across the Pacific Northwest and beyond will compete in this timed race to the top of the Columbia Center in full combat gear and self contained breathing apparati (SCBA). This unique event is the largest individual firefighter competition in the world.

The Scott Firefighter Stairclimb supports the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, raising money through sponsorships, individual and department fundraising, and entry fees. In 2007, the event brought in a record $365,000 for blood-cancer research and patient services. Awards are given to the fastest climbers and to the top fundraisers.

At 788 feet of vertical elevation, the Columbia Center (formerly Bank of America Tower) in downtown Seattle stands as the second tallest building west of the Mississippi. It takes 69 flights of stairs and 1,311 steps to reach the highly acclaimed observation deck overlooking the city.

Well if you don't no tommrow is the big college football game to somewhat declare a national title. I won't get started on the BCS system and all. Well lets just say I want the Tigers from LSU to win. YES it says Ligers, but how cool would that be as you mascot "bread for its magical powers" or maybe it's just my humor. ----Erik

More Dancers

Ok so here or some more black and white dancers that will hopefully finish up the series for me, I will probally run to Kinkos today and make some coies so I can get started on the colors while watching football. But will see how much I will actually get done. -----Erik

A-Lister

Well here is alittle something I did for this A-Lister crew I keep hearing good things about. I had fun with the Hopeless one and wanted to try it again with lighter lines. I hope it fits the Texas trends if not I can always redraw it with cowboy boots and a big huge belt buckle. -----Erik

Well I actually viewed my own blog today and said how depressing no color, and i didnt want to start off the new year like that. So I put in some extra time today and did some coloring. Hope you enjoy. -----Erik

Opening presents with the Little Man

So I decieded to have Austin open up his presents at the fire station since that was the best time for us. So I wrapped up everything and put them in his Fire wagon. It worked out great he had a blast. I even got to play with a few presents also. ----Erik

Ugly Christmas Sweaters!

OH yes Ugly Christmas Sweater Time ! I think I easily hands down beat Austin on this one, he's to cute to make it look ugly plus my'n had sparkles or glitter what ever you want to call it. -----Erik
