The Lego Horse Head
SO I finally got working on this project for Halloween. Austin decided to be a Knight since that is sort of his thing in legos right now. So of course a knight needs his noble steed to carry him into battle. I woke up today (Sunday) at about 7:15 or so no later, had a bowl a cereal and apple juice, before the kid woke up four our morning Starbucks run. I grabbed the box from outside and the lego horse for inspiration. Started drawing the head on the box and as soon as that looked good cut it out. After I had one of the sides out I traced it out on the other side of the box and cut that one out. Then I cut the middle out and then tapered that in a little so it got narrower as it got closer to the head. Duct taped all that together and then started spraying. This is what I have so far. ------Erik

Brick Con '07 (Mecha)
Well this is why I really went to go see other then taking my son; I wanted to see mech's because that’s why I try to build. These pictures don’t do too much justice so I hope you enjoy. I best part of it was catching up with Mark Neumann and give us a little show of his blue space ship called the "Dragon" (top of this post) the thing is amazing and this guy is a class act. Here is his page so you can take it all in. http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/1798
His stuff is truly amazing.

Grind In's of 10/12/07
Lego break. Ok here are some fun grind in's I did last week. The moose Rx came in and I thought it wasn’t going to look very good with the back ground since they changed the bg from red to pink with the picture they provided, but it turned out very good. I’ve done the "HIM" design before but it still was very clean. This Gonzaga logo though blew these two out of the water this one turned out great and went pretty smoothly. -----Erik
Brick Con '07 (City)
Well here is the city stuff, and from the picture up top this city was a lot bigger then it shows. There were a few trains running though the city with full train station. Skyscrapers, coffee shops, water fountains and more I took a few picture of what stood out in the city for me. The first is the little condemned trailer house with boarded up windows and an overgrown lawn. The next is the Flintstones house in the middle of the city, with there car and if you look closely you can see the lawn mower. It's a crab with some handles it right under the red car (remember that in the show.) Its little things like that that makes the show so good. There was also a tree house and a cool Oil Refinery. I took a few pictures of the refinery because there was a lot going on and I thought my dad might like it. -----Erik
Brick Con '07 (Miscellaneous)
Back again for another installment, I decided to go with some of the cool stuff that didn’t really have a genre such as Castle, City or Mech. I start from the top of this post with Mecha Godzilla. WoW this guy was cool its hands spun, the chest opened up to reveal minfig's operating it and I believe it ended up winning best model overall. The next is a mosaic of a famous painting by I Van Gogh I think. This mosaic was a 4 1/2 tall by 6 ft long (very impressive.) The clock was made entirely by Lego’s gears and all and it worked, and yes that is a coo-coo bird too that came out every hour. I got a chance to talk to the creator of this for some time and said he had more plans with it. Something to do with Peter Pan. ...Hint... Hint.. Hint. The Titanic was massive; it was over 22 ft long and 4 ft tall. I liked the minifigs in the front making fun of the movie nice touch. Last is a bunch of cars that were cool the lady in the picture was controlling the green car which was radio controlled and had working hydraulics. ---------Erik
