OK so now that the glue is done drying I prime them with a white undercoat, so that the paint sticks to the models alittle better. Plus it will help the sand stay on better aswell. I also went ahead and painted the bases there first coat of brown. I will latter dry brush them so the sand stands out more. ----Erik
Ok so I've finally got sand and use white glue to make it stick. I just use a old brush and paint on the glue and then sprinkle sand on it, shake off the excess and let it dry. Pretty simple. ----Erik
Alright here is the lastest over the weekend. I took it down to Starbuck's Sunday morning to work on the dreaklock things (hair maybe) and was getting some great looks from people. Well I'm just happy on how well it's turning out. ----Erik
OK so I bought a few Warhammer 40k models awhile ago. They always have some cool designs and such. So I picked up these little stealth suits. I thought it would be cool to make these guys a little more stealthy, so I took some clear acyclic molds of the models and waaalllaaah. I first took impressions of the pieces with wax then poured the acyclic, put them in the pressure pots for about 10 minutes. Took them out after the time and popped them out of the wax and then cleaning them up on the stone wheel and the hand piece, then pumiced them. After that I polished them and glued them together. I lost a little detail but over all I was happy on how they turned out. Now I just have to paint the regular models. ----Erik
Nothing too much to say on these the Duke logo and the Miami Heat logo were a lot of fun. I threw in the Seattle Skyline because it turned out nice with the blue background. ----Erik
Ok well I combined 2 steps here so I won't bore you every single post but eventually when I'm done I'll make a slide show that will show all the steps and the gradual build up. Enjoy -----Erik
Well I saw this one and had to do it for Randy, or maybe for me so I can finally have a "Prime" that Randy doesn't have. Hmmm.. ..... oh wait I have the 20th Anniversary Prime with the black gun. You don't have that one Randy! -----Erik
Yeah I finally finished it. I think there were some pretty strong forces at work that didn't want me to finish it. But here are the final inks, colors are on there way soon. -----Erik
Yeah I had to do this one. It was a lot of fun and great detail to make him stand out. To be more specific its Gene Simmons from Kiss and it has the tongue out and all. ----Erik
Well to finish off all the work that I had at the art show here are all the firefighting drawings I did. I now have to go and reinvent Truck 31 due to a few people. Oh sounds like a challenge. ----Erik
OK so this is some of the work I had on display at my art show. I finally had some time to scan these in so here they are. I'm not sure what to call this theme? ----Erik
